Aquarium lighting.

need lights that will be able to let me have corals in my 30 gallon tank. I have a 50 watt halogen pendant that we had for plants.... will that work on my aquarium for keeping anything coral like?

You need around 4 watts per gallon average for corals. If you go by that formula you would need over twice as much as you have.

plus the light spectrum wouldnt be right. Plant lights are usually more yellow.

on my 30g i have a nova sundial t5. plenty of lighting you can keep whatever you want...i think.
