40 gallon b tank lighting

i have a 2 x96 watt actinic 2x250 watt 10 k mh fixture i want to use over my 40 gallon b tank . i was thinking on only putting in one 250 watt mh bulb because of the heat . would this be good lighting for good coral growth ?

that is a ton of light for a 40b. i would just run one halide and the actinics. and even that would be a lot

The only problem is that standard MH reflectors are made to cover 2ft areas. So you can use only one but the sides of your tank won't get much light, but you can put your lower light corals on the sides of you tank if you wish.
