That is a very wet skimmate.

typically you want 30% of your tank area for your sump size but the bigger the better. I have a 30 gal on my 120. I may change it into a 75 sometime in the future for more total water volume. the larger the total water volume you have the easier it is to maintain.

I agree to the posts above but I want to add that TANGS will easily get sick in a small tank because of what the Biff said, it gets stress easily.

Just like I said on the other forum. but I forgot about the powerhead, add 1 or two depending on your return pump GPH. I would aim for at least 5x the turnover ratio to your tank size.

When I was using mine, the water level is at the red ring and it works fine for me. the key is to make sure that the pump is no more than 4 inches below the water surface. And I wouldn't soak the skimmer in vinegar. it will take the slime coat on it and you will have to break it in again.

yes they do but I suggest not to. this is one of the specimens that is best left in the wild. very hard to keep even for the experienced aquarist.

They see you. They don't see any reflection. If you disagree, get a disposable waterproof camera and take some shot of the glass from inside and you will know what I am talking about. tried this a year ago and all you see in the picture is whatever is outside the glass where the camera lens is...

IMO, they are still new to the marlet and I would wait it out to see how it do.

I glued all my PVC pipes. if you go this route, you can still remove the standpipe by unscrewing the bulkhead and removing it. just make sure that the screw is outside the tank. that ballast location is candidate for water splash and rust. it could still rust through evaporation.

I wouldn't suggest adding anymore to your tank for the next few weeks. tank is still young. the key to this hobby is PATIENCE and a lot more PATIENCE. and for the magnificent fox, it is a nice piece but too expensive for me, I would look at scribble or the foxface, all three are rabbit fishes.

nice fish. just be prepared to get it out of your tank in a few months when it outgrows the tank. and for the inverts, you can add them all at once.

with the size of your tank and your current bioload, you are maxed out on fish unless you have a really big skimmer. for corals you can always add zoas, a lot of color selections or shall I say endless color selections.

I have a blue hipo and a purple in my 120 with a yellow tang, unicorn tang and a palini tang along with a few more fish and I have to tell you my skimmer works like crazy.
