Help my lionfish!

Hello,
I have had this lionfish for about 3-4 weeks. He has been doing great pretty active (for a lion) eating great!
Today he was sitting st the bottom of the tank and breathing harder than normal..
I just got a good look at him to find his tail looks very weird & his dorsal spines it looks like half of them are different looking than the other half (PLEASE SEE PHOTOS) any explanations or clues what this is? I’ve never seen this in my life! Please help!
