Newbie 14 gallon Bio cube

Update:moved that power head down in the tank and turned it upside down so they cant get to it anymore. Hopefully they will become interested in the other corals in the tank, or not. I have such a small tank, taking a chance on a nem is not worth it......I have a few different colored, hairy and textured mushrooms. I think i will leave it at that. Lucy and Bogo are starting to investigate the rest of the tank.....they are weird little fish.

Hello everyone,
Tank has been up 2 1/2 months, added 2 clowns 07/22/12. I have this rock that I bought that has a soft corals(don't know what it is) on it. Its been in the tank for about a month. Suddenly the coral isn't looking so good. Like something is bugging it. I looked closer and it appears that something thicker is growing on the rock , it is almost magenta in color. I also discovered a tube warm while looking at these pictures . Huh, Can you look at the pictures and fill me in on what the 2 corals on the rock are and if the magenta is Cyano? i looked at some photos and the color and texture doesn't seem right for Cyano
Thanks in advance
~Kat

That looks like the base of healthy GSP, and the white stuff looks like bleached GSP or xenia. I cant really tell.

Does the purple stuff rub off easily or is it stuck to the rock?

red stuff does not come off easily. So its part of the GSP? the bleaching is caused by temp? we are experiencing temps over 100...I have fan and air going but the tank is upstairs and keeps creeping up to the 80s

Hello! Its been 5 months and we are doing well. Thought i would add some photos of our progress. Water/fish/coral all in tip top shape. We entertained jumping to a larger tank and doing all the big beautiful fish we have on our wish list but have since put it on the back burner. Hope you enjoy the photos.....
