is this a sponge?

at first i thought it was purple coraline, but after we looked closer we realized it was something else. they each have a little spout like a tunicate has.

the sissel sponges such as the one you inquire about are good water cleaners, they move quite a lot of water thru their filtration system removing minute bits of food items that would otherwise pollute.

hey they are sponges i have pink ones and white ones and light blue ones all over my rock but it seems that the color one are in well light places and the white ones are in the shade. is this normal?

here are mine who else can show them?

Very nice sponges. If you get an angel, I can guarantee they will all disappear very quickly ;)

They mostly like LPS and clams, but I'd bet they'll nip at just about anything that looks tasty. My SPS get a few nips when they're new until the angels figure out they're not so yummy. As for zoos and palys, I don't know. I'm sure someone here has experience, though.
