some photos of my reef in recovery :D

Hey Kurt. Why is your anemone white?? From my understanding that's not a good sign. Just wondering

no its fine that milky velvet white is how it looks its a condy nem "Condylactis gigantea" with bright green tips. They tend to be Green, Purple, Tan, White with the tips varying in the same colors.

the bastard loves clam and scallops and chunks of fish

Ohhhh, gotcha. Just making sure. I'm glad I was wrong. Sorry.... Just trying to make sure everythings ok. Looking Great!!

Thanks its all good. :D Can't wait to get my zoa rock Monday :D I just gave my mated clowns to my wife for her tank. Now mine is empty except for the cuc.

I'd love to get a flame angle or a coral beauty but I'm not to sure on that. Nearly everything I've read says 30g min tank size. But I have a large rock structure I'm not sure if its enough room for them to swim even if I get one as a juvenile. But with them they are with caution also so that may be a nix on one of them. I want something vary beautiful reef-safe wont brake the bank and be fine for my 36g as it is set up now. UGH!!! im not sure where I'm going with my tank yet though I want something because the zoa love fish poop... lol

ugh ugh ugh!!! hahaha

Lol... Well good luck. Flames are very iffy. I had one and he would pick at my Zoas. So I got rid of him.

yeah that's what I'm debating the same can go for the coral beauty's I've been looking at fish but all the one I like end up being reef with caution grrrr.... So yeah the hunt go's on for that fish with loads of color, reef-safe and will be fine for my 36g as it stands lol

Looks great Kurt! Nice coral shelves.
Ahhh, the great hunt for colorful, reef safe fish...I feel like its' our holy grail...

yeah I know its crazy I feel like im lossing my mind trying to find one thats under $50 where I really can see spending more than $40 on a fish. :( so I have many limits as to what I can get and so many fish i would love to get hahaha.... Any ways I think I will just go back to my roots and name sake GOBY hahaha if all else fails.... I loved my green yellow and panda gobys But they all met the sucky end of my old filter :( just like my Purple Velvet Nem and my LT. I ramble at times sorry hahaha. but yes it is like the quest for the holy grail at times.

As for the shelf I Have Justin to thank for that he have me a link to his friend Steve that runs a dry rock bizz and yeah Steve hooked me up with just what I needed The Reef Rock Store
but yeah I still need to bind some sections. I got a head of my self with some shroom fraging and i want to wait for those to finaly cure.
also with the way it is set up now I did not know I have the kind of flow I do now its pretty strong hahahaha.

Just as a side note, the nem should actually be a pale brown/tan/cream with colored tips

yes indeed its all those things. The tips of mine are a vary florescent almost glowing green. Though I have to say I've never had one so damn hungry. it will eat a hole clam cube on its own and still want some cyclops.

Hay Hannah I'm going to ask you whats the best reef safe fish you know of that would be great for a 38g? As I'm hitting walls as to what I'd like to have. As much as I love gobys I don't want to have a 36g goby tank where you barely see them. Or have clowns anymore for that matter. they have been re-homed to the wifes tank because shes in love with clownfish as well as Idols but I told her in no way shape or form will we get an idol for either tank unless you plan on helping me get a 200g tank with all the fixings.... hahaha though I never would get one because im no export.... yet :D

I'll take any considerations :D

What do you have in there currently?

well right now the content of the tank is a tube nem, condy nem, CBS, 15 blue legs 120 diff snails, an emerald. coral's I have and want. Have: Kenya, Hammer, Candy Cane, Mushroom, Zoanthids, want: Acan's and favia or some sort of brain coral. My wife got My clowns. as for the fish i had my falco hawk jumped out of the tank weeks ago when we moved in to the apt we are in now then Tuesday my PJ jumped in to the skimmer cup and died. I traded the gramma for some frags with a friends because they want to have the "nemo" tank so right now the tank is fishless which I hate becaue my Zoa love that fish poo...lol

If i was you, i would do a trio of the bangii cardinals and then either a blenny and the basslet. As long as you go slow, that would be a fine number of fish for your tank.
