Zybers project

Just scored a freebie skimmer and pump for my sump set up. the only thing is the skimmer needs a cup lid. Do the sell replacement lids? Or could I just fab one out of a PVC end cap and poke a small hole in it?
 
Okay it is mod time when I get home from work. I will be working on a long thought out project of converting my Aqueon® Power Filter QuietFlow 55/75 in to a refugium. Tonight will be mapping out the bulkhead chambers and such then cutting the lid to fit my hearer and room for my mangroves. Once I get this all mapped and templates made its off to HD to get acrylic and then to the lfs to get the tank sealer gue. the next stage is mocking the acrylic up cutting it and fitting it. from there I will let things cure and test it before I set it up and hit disaster so I can make adjustments as needed. As with Britt I'm still looking for a good light from what I gather 6500K should do just fine for cheato right? Well this is the plan as of right now hopefully SKYRIM does not distract me.
 
I'm starting to get upset I have yet to get any info on the shipping of my lights. I messaged the person 3 times no reply. Arrival on it should be today if not Tuesday next week like it said in the shipping info on the page. I'm so annoyed by this other than that. I did not get to my mod work as I could not find my tools. So I have to track them down before I start that work. I also cant wait for Friday the 4th :D I pay for my MP-10 and I cant wait to have that thing going in my tank. well that about it here catch you all later.

Update:

I just placed an order for 3 green ric's I should get them Tuesday adding them to my tank and that will be one of the last (9) things I add to my tank. The other (9) will be a (1) Lobo Brain, (1) Duncan, (1) Green Finger Leather, (1) Branched Montipora (blue), (3) Stylophora Coral (Green, Pink, Pink with Green polyps), (1) Frogspawn, (1) Doughnut (Red) or Green Eyed Cup.

I will be moving somethings around and spacing out some of my frags once I get the MP10 in there. i want to make one shelf SPS then one shelf my softys. I want to get everything ready for next year when I again move and set up the 55g as my seed tank for my frag tank.

I have a plan to set up my spare 20g the last 4 months for the makings of some live rock and then have a bit of a jump on things. ad for sand I have a plan for that also I will get 2 buckets fill them with a bag of sand pop in my 2 hob's and a maxie's and let it do its thing. may put some cheato in there also and get that going for the sump.

I just want to plan for the 55 as much as I can just so I don't rush to get it all set up when the time comes. I still need to build the stand get a return pump, hob overflow and plumbing. I am trying to find a good but not to expensive 1200gph punp. Fat chance of that unless i find myself a deal or hook-up on one. I think that will be the hardest part right there next to the stand.

So this is it I'm just going to keep moving forward and get every piece I can when I can. Just so the 55g moves smoother than the 20 to 36 did wish I got the sand I wanted when I did the 36 :grumble: lol but hind sight right ;) :Cheers:

If it is the pink stuff at the top by all the Kenya it is a type of non-pulsing Xenia. Anthelia, or waving hand polyp.
Anthelia coral likes bright light and strong preferably pulsed water motion that really gets its polyps waving. Oh yeah also you can regulate its groth by your water conditions. other wise it can spread rapidly

Ahhh... That would be my Aussie pink hammer. the stuff is awesome. I can't wait for it to take off again so I can frag it and pay for some things :D poor things are still recovering from the crash but they are one of the only survivors next to my shrooms
