May 25, 2011 #1 Y youtoo54 Reefing newb Now that my water is clearing up can I start adding some pods or do I need to wait for my tank to cycle? Do I need to wait for the water to completely clear up before I throw the raw shrimp in to help with the cycle?

May 25, 2011 #2 Bifferwine I am a girl You should wait for your tank to cycle before you add pods. You don't need to wait for the water to clear up before you can start the cycle, though.

May 25, 2011 #4 Bifferwine I am a girl Usually people use a piece of shrimp from the grocery store, then pull it out once ammonia shows up. You'd have to use a lot of brine shrimp.
