Epaulette sharks have the distinct "shoulder pads" hence the epaulette name.

I guess it depends on who you ask.
In the UK fishing industry, it is considered a pest species and hundreds get tangled up in fishing nets on a regular basis.
They end up getting chopped up as bait.
