Hey all just wanted to ask what is the best way to keep the water crystal clear, cause i noticed mine is good but i use to see from one end to the other end really clear when looking through the sides.

make sure to keep up on waterchanges dont overstock and keep skimmer running efficiently, and keep up alot of watermovement...

Polishing the water with various forms of filtration to make it crystal clear certainly makes the tank look beautiful but your filter feeders (like feather dusters) will not do well. They need the small particles in the water. I like to leave some level of tiny particles in the water.

But if you can't see from one end to the other I would say you DO need more filtration.

i can see but not like crystal.you wont notice it till i tell you that it aint clear, but i see what u mean so will leave it be. ty

It actually sounds like you have some sort of bacterial or algae bloom. I would do your normal waterchanges and it should clear up on its own.

These blooms are really common in new tanks, just give it some time and it should go away

Also, if you're not doing so, try running some carbon.

Any type of carbon will do. I used to run carbon for a few days each month just to polish the water up.

I ran carbon and floss for the first month. I think thats why I never saw any blooms.

i had the marineland emperor 400 biowheel on it but took it off a week ago.Maybe i'll put on again.

Ok got the carbon running for 24 hours cauis my water got a bit more cloudy.Still waiting to see if it will clear up.
