i was wondering about getting water clarifier to try out in my tank its still a little cloudy from the sand but u still can see through it.. anyone think it will work ?

Before you do anything, figure out why your tank is cloudy.
Is it a bacteria bloom?
Is if from a lot of flow over very fine sand?

You better to avoid chemicals in a marine system if at all possible.

Clearly stated its the sand which has made the tank cloudy, but anyways check your water parameters just to be sure

If it's the sand, then water clarifier won't help. Your best bet is to run some sort of mechanical filtration (even a cheap HOB filter) and change the filter pads often (you can just rinse them off and reuse them). That will pull a lot of the suspended particles out of the water column. Was the tank just set up recently? It's common when a new tank is set up for it to be cloudy for about a week or so.

The water clarifier stuff intended for micro sediments work in conjunction with mechanical filters.
The idea is that it causes the tiny particles to clump together so that they are easily picked up by a filter.
Without a filter, the clumps would eventually just break apart again.
