FOODS AND FEEDING - Marine fish, crustacean flesh, mysid shrimp, frozen preparations. Feed at least 3 times a day.

REEF COMPATIBILITY - Not recommended, dines on stony corals, many soft corals, tentacles and bases of larger stinging anemones, mushroom anemones.
CAPTIVE CARE - Very hardy butterflyfish, needs abundant swimming room will accept most marine foods (chopped fresh or frozen seafood, brine shrimp, flake food, marine frozen aquarium food). Feed vitamin enriched and color enhancing foods to help maintain the intense coloration of the fish. Will pick filamentous algae off rock and substrate. Ok to keep in pairs or with other butterflyfish species and can hold its own with aggressive tankmates once fully acclimated.
