Unexpected plants

I have had my aquarium for a little over 2 months and I noticed these small circular plants that grow on my live rock when I tried to touch it, it closed up and appeared to be sucked into the rock.. anyone know what Im talking about

Google "Aiptasia" and look at the images. Is that what you've got? If not we'll need a little more detailed description (or a photo) of what you have in order to ID.

ya sorry about the description but it could be aiptasia but how would they get into my tank

They probably hitchiked in on your live rock. The can spread very rapidly so you want to be sure to deal with it right away. The best stuff is to use is Aiptasia-X, and then get a peppermint shrimp to keep them from coming back.

It's a pest anemone. They spread very quickly, and will take over your rocks. The can potentially kill other (good) things in your tank, so you need to eradicate them as quickly as possible.

The cleaner shrimp will be fine with the peppermint shrimp too

Oh he also like the Manjo anenome or what ever there called. (the small ones that are realy bright green)
