Ultimate Replacement lights

6" Nova Extreme Pro 6x39 watt
T5HO 3-10k/3-460nm actinics Total=234w
36" x 12" x 4.25"

It has one switch that makes 2 actinics come on and the other switch puts on 3-10k's and 1 actinic.

Reeffreak told me that after 6 months I would most likely want to change some of my bulbs because there are ones with better PAR. If you had my unit which bulbs would you replace?

Also during the day would you run all 6 lights or just the 3-10k and 1 actinic?

You only have to change some or all of the bulbs if it doesn't look good to your eyes.The bulbs are kinda weak but in general are good enough.If you don't like it then replace some of them or wait til they are ready to be replaced at 12-18 months.

10k replaced with an ATI Aqua Special 12k
10k replaced with a GE6500k
actinic with a UV Super Actinic.

I am thinking this because my clam is not really doing so well with the current lighting. The first couple days it was open and the last two days it is either only half open or kinda closed.

You sure it has anything to do with the lights?

no I have no idea, I just remembered you telling me I would need new lights in 6 months and I figured it would be because my tank is more established and I would want more things like sps and clams which needed better light than what I had.
