Reefing newb
i'm getting my first saltwater tank in a few months. i plan on it being a 125 or 150

before i set it up however, i want to set up a small quarantine tank, 29g
i already have a wet dry for it rated for 75 gallons

my question is, i have extra UGF stuff and i was wondering if i should add it in there for extra bio filtration, water movement, and aeration?

would it make a difference? is it a bad idea? or is my wet dry enough?

+1 Erin...underground filters were not made for saltwater tanks and will cause lots of issues. The wet/dry should be enough filtration.

For a quarantine tank, that and a heater are really all you need. Some pieces of PVC and plastic plants to give the fish hiding places are good too. If you use sand or rock, keep in mind once you use medication in the tank, you can't use that rock or sand in a reef tank.
