Tropic Isle Tahitian Moon Sand???

To be honest, i never seen people use that kind of sand before. Im not sure what pro's or con;s there are to it.

Personally though, i dont think it will give me that "reef" feeling i get with white sand. White reflects color back which im not sure will matter in the case of reefs, but the tank will definitely look brighter.

I know that aragonite sand (like the second link) has buffering capacity against pH swings, which is important. I don't know if the black sand has the same properties.

the first is also a really fine sand. it will be really really easy to cloud your tank if you use it. aragonite is a little larger grains, but not huge. its the sand I have used in all 3 of my aquarums

I chose the CaribSea AragAlive Fiji Pink and it looks pretty nice to me. I have heard the black sand can make the fish colors stand out a little more, however to me it doesn't look like what i think of when I think ocean.
