a HOB penguin 350 its the one with the 2 bio wheels... i have one and plan on getting the other soon...it says it can filter 70 gallons so 140 with the both of them running on a 40 gallon tank should be good ?

this is one thing i was thinking about that and im not sure maybe if i did an open top tank id have the possibility of hangin it on the side?

Those filters are a pain in the rear. You have to constantly clean those things out and make sure that you change them out about every 3 to 4 weeks due to the carbon losing its charge. I would just go with a sump or just go with a really good skimmer and just your live rock with no other filter

You are better off with either A) just a skimmer and no HOB emperor filters, or B)...okay there is no B. There's just A :)
