the water i have been getting from a local store that i fill my 5 gallon water jugs with at a filling station that says its RO water reads 009 is that ok ??? i have a RO/DI unit but have not had a chance to install it yet.

How did you find it's TDS rating? I'm in Houston as well and have always been considering getting my RODI water checked by a TDS meter.

If you use RODI water, you should have a TDS meter. Or else you have no way of knowing when your filters need changing. You can buy a TDS meter for around $15 or $20. I got mine on Ebay.
