It doesn't say what kind of filtration it runs. I highly doubt it's running a skimmer, which is what you'd need for a reef tank. I would call them and find out more details before ordering something like that. It also doesn't come with lights. Dunno... It just seems so much easier to do it yourself instead of buying an all in one deal.

I'm just worried about building my own sump and setting up everything by myself if I got a tank from glasscages.com
I can't afford something too expensive and I don't want to pay over $100 for a sump but I'm not sure about building one and doing the plumbing

it is really not that hard to DIY all of the stuff you are talking about. i am sure we could all walk you through it.

I came into this hobby not knowing a thing about a sump. With the help of the tank threads and asking many many questions I now understand the purpose of a sump and even made my own. So if I can make one you'll be able to.

why are you settling for only a 50 gallon tank? there is very little difference between that and a 75. or a 90 for that matter. 4 feet long is 4 feet long. go bigger

I would set up you own tank. Craigslist has some awesome deals just be careful. Leak test it and run it by us before purchasing it.
