t5 lighting,to much or not enough?

ok so i am starting a 75 gallon,i qas looking as getting a 4/54 t5 and i got to thinking mabey the 6/54 would be a better choice but not sure if its worth much more money for 2 exra bulbs,will the 4/54 be enough to grow a few sps or not?

You could probably get away with some easy SPS at the tippy top of you tank.

I would get the six bulb fixture.

Lighting is arguably the single most important thing you'll buy for your tank. If you can afford bigger and better do it, otherwise you will be kicking yourself in the ass later.

For a 75, I would go with 6 bulbs as well. You may be able to keep SPS under less light, but what if you can't -- then you will have to upgrade lighting again. Might as well do it right the first time rather than have to waste money on two fixtures.

well think ill go with a 4 bulb with 2 250 watt halides,then im sure to have enough light,will replace the 4/t5s balast with the icecap 660 from my t12 setup,then buy 2 new icecap or equiv balasts for the halides
