Sump pump questions

If I have a 30 Gallon DT and wanted to create either a 10 gal or 20 gal sump?

What size or GPH pump would I need and what level of Skimmer?

The size of the pump will be dependent on the overflow you use. I usually aim for 100-200 gph higher then the overflow handles. As for the skimmer, I'd go for one of the nano skimmers like the Hydor slim-skim or Tunze 9002.

Overflow being the method you're using to get the water from your Display Tank into the sump.
