hey guys i am thinking about building a sump i have a 55 gallon saltwater tank what size sump would i need right now i am just sketching it out right now once i figure out how big it would be i will draw it and post it here to see what u guys think.:question::question::question:

Sean, the biggest tank you can fit under your DT would be best. The reason I say this is because it will add more overall water volume. When you say sump are you just looking for something to keep your equipment out of your DT or are you looking to build a refugium with algae, LR and sand?

I was wondering about that also. As far as a pump you need to try to match what your overflow will deliver. So if your overflow is 600gph then you want a pump around 650 that way you can factor in head loss.
