starfish?????

i would like to get a starfish for my tank

which ones are actually reef safe, and not difficult to maintain

do not get a chocolate chip star. a brittle or serpant stars are good

Yeah brittle and serpent stars are the best. Choc chip stars are definitely not reef safe and most other starfish are very difficult to maintain. They usually just unexpectedly die in short periods of time.

If you get a brittle star make sure its not green. The green ones can be very dangerous.

Green brittles will eat inverts & small fish (if they get too close).
