Foods and feeding – This crab will scavenge food from the aquarium but the hydroids and bryozoans on its shell require planktonic food

Captive care – This hermit crab is very hardy but the delicate animals that make up its shell require special care. They are filter feeders and don’t like bright lighting or strong flow, and can be easily killed by other stinging animals in the aquarium. Crabs are extremely sensitive to nitrates and copper and small amounts will kill them
