SPS Polyp Extension

What reef tank?
I just do not know what is going on in my tank right now. I have little to no polyp extension on all of my montis. My acropora are doing fine. Even the colors of my montis are fading away. Their not dead. Just turning ugly. Some tank readings can be found below. Please bounce this around a little and let me know your thoughts.

KH/ALK - 8.4 dKH or 3.00 meq/L
Ca - 420 ppm
Phosphates - undetectable
Nitrates - 7 ppm, a little high, but not bad...
Nitrites - 0
Ammonia - 0
ph - 8.0, constantly monitored with a pinpoint
Temp - 80 and not fluctuating more than 0.5 degrees

I just don't know guys. :frustrat:

Polyp Extension is a bit of a myth.... I never had it in the 55, but alwasy read 15 different things to try....

When I setup the 100 gallon I did the following.
1) No Leathers
2) No Nipping Fish
3) Carbon and Phosphate media 24/7
4) Alot more flow, but not velocity

Polyps came out...
I always had 0 nitrates and perfect stats before I even did the same 20% water changes every two weeks...

Hopefully one of the above might help.

If the colors are starting to fade on stonies it is usually because you have to much nutrients in the water, have you been feeding more... blow off all the rock work and do a good sized water change... thats what I would try....
