About how long do you think the starter kit would last? A year? 6 months?

I know I should not be in a hurry. But I am. I need to get this think loaded up with frags and get on the ball. I want a bunch corals to be ready in about 4 months.

It depends on how much and how often you need to dose. I don't know what the quantites are in thier starter kit, but it takes 2 1/4 cups of baking soda per gal of water and 2 1/2 cups of calcium chloride per gal. I dose aprox 1 cup (250 ml) of each every day and a gal lasts me about 2 weeks.
I paid $7 for a 12 lb bag of Arm & Hammer baking soda, $14 for a 50 lb bag of DowFlake calcium chloride and $15 for a 50 lb bag of Mag Flake. Thats enough baking soda for about 1 yr, enough calcium for probably 5 yrs and enough magnesium to last a lifetime.

i got the starter kit a year ago and still have most of it left
