Captive care – This species needs a deep sand bed and lots of rocks to hide in. Be sure that rock is secure and wont fall due to the lobster digging in the sand bed. It will hide during the daylight hours in a cave it digs for itself. All lobsters are highly territorial and should be kept one per tank. Like all inverts, the lobster is extremely sensitive to nitrates and metals, even small amounts are fatal to them.
