Something on side of shrimp???

I got this shrimp today and I noticed that there is something on the side of it. Does anyone know what it is?? Its hard to get a good picture of it..

That looks like a parasite or a tumor IDK I would not put it in my tank

Is that a ghost shrimp? Can you try and pull it off?

I pulled it off.....but he ended up dying afterwards.....it was just labeled as a marine feeder shrimp

It looks like one of those parasitic isopods.
Nasty little buggers, they get inside the exoskeleton and during molting they migrate under the new layer of soft exoskeleton so they don't get shed off when the host molts.
