Soft coral identification?

Any idea what this might be? Just appeared in 20 year old aquarium.... Size is 1/2 of a dime, color purple, no tentacles, but several appendages.

It looks like what I have in my tank. It loves light and grows fast. I started separating pieces and moving them around the tank
