Rod's varies in thickness. The edges tend to be thinner than the middle.
I don't know anything about Sally's, but Rod's seems to have a lot less water than other frozen cubes that I've used. You'll just have to thaw a chunk of it, throw it in the tank and see how it compares to what you are used to.
