I had no idea that ricoridas actually eat this way! I have never fed mine in 4 months but today when feeding everyone a large mysis fell right on this ricordia none of the fish saw it and within seconds it was gulping it down! By the time I got my camera ready all you can see is the tail of the shrimp sticking out.

Does anyone else feed theirs regularly?

everybody but you.:D

Most people use a turkey baster, suck some mysis up and squirt them slowly at the ricordea, or paly's or anything else that looks like it needs a squirtin':D

Oh my gosh I am such a bad mommy! I feed the nems with a baster so I can start feeding the rics also.

dont worry you are not being a bad mommy.. they dont NEED to be fed .. We just do it to try to enhance the growth.. They feed themselves and wont die if you dont..

yep i always feed my rics when im doing LPS feeding time. I add brightwell vitamarine c to try to enhance tissue growth and color. I love feeding my corals. I usually use the mini mysis. much better size than regular for smaller corals

Yeah the guy I bought mine from had a REALLY nice ricordian selection in his own display tank and he said he never fed them. He had some colors I had never seen and they were huuuuge. Mine have really grown a lot since I got them.
