Return plumbing question??

newbie reefer
I just set up my 29g sump tank with ATS on my 55 gal FOWLR (reef soon) tank. I was in such a hurry with setting it up I used 1" PVC for my inlet and return piping. I have a Mag 7 return pump with my Eshopps pf-800 overflow box. I was thinking I would get more flow if I used braided tubing, instead of the 1" on my return line?? But with my overflow box, it can only suck out so much water?? Should I not even mess with it?

Just to add my piping goes thew the wall to the furnace room behind the tank. Also i have 2 lights on my ATS if you were wondering. :-D

I'd leave it and run it as is. Regardless of how much flow you can get back to the tank, the over flow as you stated will only do so much, and you may find yourself having to dial down the return to match the over flow. You can always change it at a later date if you decide to go another route.

Yes I have dialed it back with the flow back 't' fitting to the sump, just to keep the DT water line down a bit. Thanks again for the feedback
