Refugium Light

Be careful with the plant light you get, some dont put out the right spectrum. If the lights looks kinda blue, its not great for plant growth. They grow best under a light that is going to look more redish. I personally would just stick with the squiggly bulbs, energy efficient and great for cheato growth.

I have tried plant lights over my fuge, and they worked. But you have to replace them very often and they use a lot of wattage. Instead, I prefer (like Hannah said) a CFL squiggly bulb. They last a long time, and are more energy efficient.

The bulbs called "daylight" have a spectrum of about 5200K. They are very good. I suggest strong light --like 20 watts per gallon of fuge. Many people do not put enough light on there fuge.
