ok this skimmer is more like a baking soda volcano then a skimmer:frustrat:
if you close the gate valve to much water fills the cup. if its open to much
the bubbles wont rise....... there is no happy medium :pooh:
Now i have it set up where the bubbles are just at the bottom of the cups
neck and alls going well for 1/2 hour but no skim then it will surge
and fill the cup with water:grumble::grumble:

It always takes a while to break it dont worry it will, they are really good skimmers. When I started my new ones I would put the cup way above the bubbles it will eventually get up there dont rush it.

nope still doing the same. i set the water low and bubbles dont seem to make it
to the top. i rase the water and it overflows. i can not find the sweet spot

Turn it just a little bit each day. Everytime I clean out my octopus I have to start low and gradually raise it a very very little bit everyday until it's just right.
