Red Tabling Milli Bleaching

The past few days my red mille has gone from red to light pink w/ a little bit of white. It was doing good since I got it last month. My water params are all the same and flow is good. I've since moved it a bit higher in the tank and in a higher flow area. Any thoughts?

The whole coral is fading I guess. It's a light shade a pink now with shades of white where the polyps would extend from. It used to be nice and dark colored. I'm not sure what went wrong. The other blue milli I have is doing just fine. My dkh was a little low at 8, but I increased my dosing a few days ago to combat that. I'm at work until 9:00 tonight so I can't get a pick until tomorrow.

My dkh as always been at 9, which seemed to be doing good for me. It dropped to 7 two weeks ago and I'm slowly bringing it back up. I'm dosing slowing because I have no clue how fast it would rise and didn't want to shock anything.

Here are a pics from yesterday and this morning. The coral is definitely on its way out. More rubble for the fuge.

My dkh is back up to 9 now. Two weeks ago it dropped to 7. I've slowly increased my dosing to raise it back to 9. I hope I answered your question right....is Alk the same as DKH?

It is very frustrating. I can have a coral prosper for months and it makes me feel like I actually am having some success, but then out of the blue it dies. I think shit, it died. WTF? It was doing so well? I think there are so many factors which have to be perfect for the coral to survive; at least in my system. There seems to be so many set backs.

Sorry to hear your Milli Dave.
I've had that happen to several myself. They'd do great and put on some new growth, then out of the blue, start bleaching and die.

I think that millis are one of those SPS corals thats either going to love the tank and do great,or just gonna waste away.
All mine would do good for a while, then just fade out.

You got that right Yote. The other Milli I HAD was dead this morning. Bleached to bone white. I tested all my levels and they're in check.

So I think I found out why my corals are going south. I tested my dkh yesterday and it was up to 11. About 2 weeks ago it dropped to 7. I went on the reef dosing calculator and it told me how much to add to increase the dkh back to 9, but it didn't say how long to add it for. Do you think this is what can be causing their death? I stopped dosing so it will drop back down. Any advise?

Also, some of my acros and a rainbow monti are turning brownish.

For some reason, millis are super tough for me, alongside all the success I have with pretty much any other kind of SPS. Totally weird. Sorry to see you lose such a nice frag, man...
