Range: Indo-Pacific, Bali

Captive care – This urchin can be a very helpful member of your CUC. They do best in larger aquarium with plenty of area for them to roam. They are primarily nocturnal. They will also protect themselves so use caution around the spines, both to your fish and your hands. If you do get a spine in your hand, carefully remove it and put vinegar on the wound to dissolve any remaining spike. Like all invertebrates it is extremely sensitive to nitrates and copper, and small amount are fatal to it.
