REEF COMPATIBILITY - If under fed may nip at stony corals and soft corals.
CAPTIVE CARE - Most aggressive member of the genus and family, will fight with members of its own kind and other tangs, keep only one per tank, should be the last introduced to a community tank, do not keep with other surgeonfish unless the tank is large with plenty of room for all. A diet of vegetable fare is a must to keep coloration and ward off head and lateral line erosion, browses on filamentous microalgae and small flesh macroalgae.
