IMO, it is a pain in the ass to drive to the store each time you need water. You have already spent a good amount of money on the tank, now why not invest in the most important part to a succesful reef tank. You can't go wrong with an RO for under $150 and there are cheaper units.

Also, I wouldn't trust anyone else's water if I didn't have a TDS meter to make sure their water is useable. You never know how often they change their filters, or if it is even RO water.
