:shocking:i got up in it smell like smoke...and i saw that return pump was off got it out of my sump an it smell like smoke...what could happend....i think it was leaking electricity:shocking:...i think thats how my star fish die......

How old is the pump? And what brand? Did it ever run dry? That sucks, but pumps die eventually. Sounds like that's what happened to yours.

i dont know the brand..like 5 months.but i think something went in to it...it was black it look burn...?????i think it has warranty... but i dont have the box...will see what they tell me
