protein skimmer pump

When I bought my aquarium I purchased a protein skimmer that my LFS had built. Solid design. Looks nice. Starting to have problems after a year. No huge suprises I guess. I'm looking into replaceing the pump with a REEF OCTOPUS BUBBLE BLASTER HY-1000S PROTEIN SKIMMER PUMP 150GPH
I'm running a 75 gallon tank with a 30 gallon sump. Figure I need somthing that will do at least 100 gallons. Will this work? Or do I need something beefier. All opinions are appreciated.

really hard to comment without any specs on your protein skimmer (diameter, cone?)

the sicce psk1000 is really popular with the new skimmers coming out - you might want to look into that.

The PSK 1000 is an amazing pump, damn near bullet proof.
