Powerhead / Wavemaker

I have a 90g set up with two Hydor 1150 powerheads along with the flow coming back into the tank from the sump (quiteone 4000)- that one is about 990gph.

So, 1st question: do i have enough water movement?
2nd: how can i direct the water so it is not constantly flowing in the same direction all the time?

That is plenty of flow for your tank, and the easiest way to get different flow patters is from a wavemaker that alternates which powerheads are on

Hydor actually makes a wave maker for their pumps. It will work as long as you have controllable pumps. Search the site, Phastroh just installed one.

I have the Hydor smartwave which I love. I have my 2 koralias hooked up to it and Ill be honest the fish and my anemone seem to seriously prefer the alternating flow. So 2 of my powerheads alternate in flow and 1 stays on constantly.
