Just a few shots taken with this new breed of camera. Micro 4/3 format is the new kid on the block. The sensor size is WAYYYY bigger than the typical point and shoot camera AND you get interchangeable lenses, but it's all in a package much smaller than your typical DSLR. Makes family outing, sightseeing, etc a lot easier than carrying around a big dslr kit, yet the quality of the pics is outstanding and almost dslr quality. Full manual controls, auto, a or p priority, scene modes and even art filter modes. Panasonic has their own version named the GF-1. Very similar and you can use the same lenses. I tried them both out for a couple weeks and although the GF1 has technological improvements over the EP1, I liked the quality of the images better out of the EP1. Personal preference sort of thing.
Anyway, i thought some of you who were ready to move on from your p&s camera but wouldn't ready to commit to a dslr might be interested in this. :D
These first few were taken with the fixed 20mm 1.7 Lumix Lens.
And these with either the Olympus 14-42mm lens or the Lumix 14-45mm lens
