Peppermint shrimp in refugium

Hello
Can I place peppermint shrimp in my refugium? My refugium have only about 10-12 hours of light. Basically once my lights in main tank goes off the refugium lights turn on.
Is it safe to place peppermint shrimp in there? I have a lot of aiptasia in the refugium so shrimp will have something to eat.

I did it one time and shrimp color turns almost white. It looked like he lost his red color

Maybe it was because of the lighting?
