Overflow box - increase flow rate

Hi.

I have the Eshopps PF800 for my 75 gallon tank. My question is, is it possible to increase the flow rate through this box by adding one more U-Tube?
Or, can i just replace the U-Tube with larger diameter?

The pipes i am using in both, pump and overflow, are 1".

I think you would need to increase the pipe size going down out of the back of the overflow box also. Increasing the u-tube wont do anything if the restraint is the drain.
