Orp? Rkl? Ato?

Ok so I am ordering my RKL I was going to get the the L3 it has the ability for an ORP and PH prob. What benefits would be having the ORP reading? Everything I have read about it has been pretty vague about why you would want it. I was thinking about getting the one that is PH and salinity but its costs more but seems more useful but some people will say they are a pain because they have to be calibrated all the time? It just seems silly to spend money for something I am only going to use 1/2 of?

Also any one using the float switch for an ATO ?

Before I order this let me make sure I under stand it. I use that as a switch, that will turn on my aqua lifter pump that is plugged in to the RK power strip? will I need anything else?

unless you plan on using ozone than the orp it usless

You'll love having that PH probe.Its nice to be able to see the PH at a glance and actually know what its doing over 24 hours.
