My White Anemone

Keeping your lights on between 8 and 12 hours a day is fine. However, no matter how long you keep those lights on, they just aren't going to be strong enough for most photosynthetic animals.
Thanks Sarah, going to try and see if Manor Aquatics wii take the white anemone back, how will it come off the live rock without damaging it, only time Iv'e handled one is when I put it in the tank.

I learned that trick a couple of days ago at the LFS.
I just laughed until I tryed it. Worked a lot better than my check card.
Hi Yote, iv'e got these thin thread like strands which trap loose food dropped by crabs or fish, seem to web it up, have put photo's in my album:frustrat:

To get it off the rock, take a butter knife and press the flat side (not the blade) against the base of the anemone. It should let go.
Hi Sarah, did you see my post regarding the thin gold like threads on my live rock with the photo's ?:frustrat:

Those are vermited snails.:D They feed but casting a web to catch food particles. Then they'll reel the food in.
Harmless for the most part except the webs can irritate corals.
