my water

Is it your water for sure? Take a little out and put it in a white container thatll be the true test. When was the last time you changed your bulbs? They get yellow with time. It might be a phytoplankton issue too(too much light or too old of light bulbs) Could also be a water quality issue. What are your readings and maintenance schedule?

If it is the water (as suggested, put some in a white container to see if it is yellow) then it might be down to the water quality, or something in there that is staining the water (corals?). As Biff is asking - make sure your water changes are frequent enough to maintain healthy conditions, but running carbon will 'polish' the water and remove the chemicals that are staining it...

I cured my green / yellow water I went to the pet store and asked them about it and he had me put some carbon in a mesh bag and put it in the water flow and by that night it was clear : )
