mushrooms doing good.....

OhNoNemo

i love triggers
Have had them alittle over a month,i'm happy with how they are doing ,but whats the best way to get them to spread like crazy?I'm very new to any kind of coral keeping, and not sure how to cut or snip them or do anything to them...or is it all about just being patient?

OK ,so after that should i detach them from the rock and put them in another spot or just slice em up and let them stay put and just flap in the current...Also,what exactly does this do?Do they send spores out like aiptasia and algaes..?Thanks

1)Cut and dice them up like Biff suggested.
2)Use empty snail shells or tiny pieces of rock rubble.
3)put the shells/rocks in a plastic cup
4)cover with a mesh and rubber band
5)wait a week or two and voila, the shrooms will be attached to the pieces of rock/shell
6)now glue them where ever you like

yeah. I got a rock with a few shrooms on it and dumped it in the tank... now I'm going to have to frag pieces off and sell/give them away because they're taking over places I didn't necessarily want them to go. At least in my tank, shrooms are pretty fast growers.

I've not done anything special with mine and in the space of 6 months I have gone from about 15 small ones about an inch in diameter to at last count 26, with the biggest being 4-5 inches across.

Causing problems not for my zoanthids which are no longer in direct light due to the mushroom overhead.
