mushroom problem

I used a rubberband to keep it on the rock now its folding like a taco. Normal?

Normal. It should grab on and stick by itself eventually. Another thing you could try is putting rocks in the bottom of a plastic cup, put the mushroom in the cup, then put some mesh or netting over the top of the cup and hold the mesh on the cup with a rubber band. Then put the cup in your tank. That way the mushroom can't float away and will stick to the rocks.

Perfectly normal.Too tight and you will probably end up with two of them.

I put a rubber band on my colt coral and I got two out of it. put a band on my xenias, got 2 out of it, band on my figi leather, got 2 out of it..People have told me too tight but I literally had the rubber band falling off the last time and it still split, same with tooth picks! Hope yours dont part ways with each other like all mine did.

do you mean two corals or 1 dead one. Because I was told with mushrooms if it splits ill have two live ones.

You will get two live ones. If the rubber band splits them before tey attach they will both float away.

looks like you have gotten good advice here. You have nothing to worry about, except that mushrooms tend to spread pretty fast, so get ready to find them popping up all over the place. Good luck
